The company currently has plenty of products in its range. From acoustic guitars, to electric basses, banjos, mandolins and amplifiers. You can get your complete guitar equipment from them. They also have a couple of other brands. Those other brands offer either cheaper guitars and equipment, or are are pretty high end. Examples are Squire, as an entry level brand, Jackson, Charvel, the EVH range with Eddie Van Halen, as well as the distribution, and manufacturing, of Gretsch guitars under license.

The Telecaster and Stratocaster

The company is also famous for their solid-body electric guitars, the Telecaster and the Stratocaster. The Telecaster is the first solid-body electric guitar to be commercially successful. It has a simple design, that is also effective. The revolutionary sound has set new trends in the manufacturing of electric guitars. Introduced in 1950, it is in continuous production ever since. The Stratocaster is another beast by Fender. It is a double-cutaway, introduced in 1954, and still in production. It is very versatile, and you can use it for all styles of complete music. In this Fender Stratocaster review we’ll try and tackle on everything that this electric guitar has to offer. What are it’s pros, are there any cons, and the most important question… Is it worth buying?

What is the Fender Stratocaster?

The Fender Stratocaster is a model of an electric guitar, which has been in production for over 60 years. This really tells you how long the company Fender has been working on their products and perfecting them. However, where does the Stratocaster stand in today’s music world?

Tim Shaw, a humbucking pickup guru was hired by Fender in order to take their guitars even further. The Shawbucker, an electric guitar with unrivaled tone and quality arose from this. He is working with Fender for 20 years and plenty of guitarists use his work. Tim Shaw really knows every part of the guitar, and the Shawbucker is a living proof of that. Modern humbucking tone is this guitar’s best feature.

It’s a very versatile guitar that is capable of producing all styles of music and it has been used in plenty of genres.

This best-selling guitar is definitely something you should not pass on. Considering it’s build quality, and the sound it produces it’s no wonder why this guitar has become so popular. After all, Fender really do know how to perfect their products.

A beautiful guitar to hold and listen to, the Stratocaster being a Fender icon has everything an electric guitar should have. Hand-rolled fingerboard edges, staggered tuners, improved bridge with bent steel saddles and copper-infused high mass block for increased resonance and sustain, a tinted neck, thin-finish undercoat that allows the body breathe and improving resonance.

We do believe that this is a great guitar that produces incredible sound and you’ll enjoy strumming it with your fingers producing music of any genre you’d like. A product of great quality which comes at a reasonable price, the Fender Stratocaster should not be passed on. If you are the type of person that’s picky, than you would enjoy the Stratocaster.

However, there are different versions of the Stratocaster, and the one we like the best is the Shawbucker brought to live by Tim Shaw.

It has an amazing feature, a 250K/500K volume potentiometer. This potentiometer optimizes the quality of each pickup by switching the bridge pickup to 500K for better sound and openness. The neck and middle pickups run at 250K.

The guitar has great vintage tones, it wears the traditional look. It’s also extremely portable, and sound absolutely fanastic! It has a nice light and comfortable body, a 9.5″ freboard and medium jumbo frets. Staggered Tuning posts of this guitar range from low E to high E and they increase the strings break angle over the nut. Apparently, this will improve performance of the guitar.

Many people actually don’t think this guitar sounds good at first. However, a quick tuning session would cure any problem that you might have.

The notes and chords are loud and clear. With this thing, you’ll be able to play in any band, if you are capable of doing that of course.

This is an amazing guitar that’s worth every dollar you spend on it. Plus, if you take into consideration that it’s being made by Fender, people who really know how to do their job you’ll realize you chose the right guitar. In our opinion,if you are someone that really loves playing the guitar, and you know how to handle a guitar without any trouble than you should invest into the Shawbucker. However, if you are a beginner and still learning you might want to take a look into acoustic guitars first.
